Lt. Col. Dave Grossman presents: “Workplace Violence —Causes, Prevention, and the Aftermath”
May 15, 2008 in Lansing
Course fee is $99 for this one-day seminar.
It's official: 'Going Postal' is epidemic in America. Workplace violence has reached epidemic proportions, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, with an average of three or four employees killed each month in the United States.
Do you know how to address difficult situations recognizing, stemming or defusing inappropriate aggression and prevent violence in the workplace before it occurs?
Do you really think there will be an act of violence in your workplace? Look to a fire exit and think, "Will there really be a fire here?” We do not think there will ever be a fire but we would be morally, criminally negligent if we did not prepare for the possibility. The same is true of workplace violence.
How many times do we hear of workplace violence tragedies in the news that could have been prevented if someone had reported the warning signs that lead to workplace violence? Lt. Col. Grossman teaches us how to recognize, report, and defuse tense situations before they erupt into workplace violence.
The most effective way to deal with a potentially violent employee, client, or customer is through employee education. This seminar equips your employees with vital knowledge that could save lives in your workplace and teaches those who will be responding how to deal with this high risk incident..
